Cake Tasting: SugarBakers Cakes

Since I am stuck inside because of Hurricane Sandy today and tomorrow, I finally have time to do a blog post! This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite couples on their Rehoboth Beach wedding to be held in May of next year. We visited their ceremony/reception venue, did a menu tasting, visited their rehearsal dinner location and discussed lots of wedding details. We also had the opportunity to visit Cake Bar in downtown Lewes, Delaware for a cake tasting.

The owner used to be an interior decorator and decorated the entire place! 

There were tons of options to choose from including Coconut, Red Velvet, Dulce de Leche, Chocolate, Almond, Carrot Cake and many more! One of our favorites was the Smith Island cake which is a Maryland tradition. The cake consisted on a vanilla type cake with chocolate/peanut butter icing/filling. So delicious!

The couple made great cake choices and cannot wait to try both choices at their wedding! FYI, the owner will be moving her cake business back to Baltimore very shortly.
